long awaited update!!!
Hey everyone!
I've been MIA for I think the longest time and here are my excuses haha if you wanna know...
Internet connection in my room still sucks so I hate the fact that after I write and when it comes to publish it, internet won't be connected and I have to start all over again and left me feeling discourage...and of course, life still going and work gets me busy these days that I'm pretty much exhausted when I get home... :(
Anyway, on to a happier note I got meself the iblogger app on my iPhone which allows me to blog from my phone. Ain't it just awesome? Heheh of course won't have the convenient of the physical keyboard but then I can practice my typing on my iPhone...so yay :)
So here's the update from me...in no particular order haha here goes:
• I'm officially 28 years young this year and had a good birthday weekend with my family and friends. Went to dinner @ bubbagump with the family and I love it!!! It was also to celebrate my sisters each getting a better job. One sister got a job teaching beauty courses at a college nearby our house and the other sister got a management trainee position with a local bank.
And then the next night attended the event organised by office and it was sure fun!!! Theme was psychedelic and rock. It was so cool to see our bosses dress up with big hair, hippie-like and Elvis Presley!
FYI - can't seem to put more than one photos from iblogger so you can check out my pics on my facebook albums ;)
• yesterday my Twitter page had it's few mins of fame coz it was featured on national tv station as Twitter user of the week! Isn't that something? Hehe...few of my friends saw it and had massively message me on facebook haha...so yea that was cool...
• work stuff - one of my new staff resigned (and it's not because of me, thank you very much! She got better offer) and it sure been a strain on my team to ensure work gets done everyday, together with the fact that we already shortstaffed! And this put a little damper on my next career move...but I am sure everything is going to be OKAY once we figure it all out :D I am still very optimistic though very exhausted to tell you the truth. I just hope I can take a well deserved overseas/local vacation asap! Hehe any ideas for best vacation spot?
• we, as in my sisters and I had movie night at home complete with projector screening the visual on the wall...but too bad no popcorn or snacks...see the flaw in our impromptu movie night plan? Hehe nonetheless it was so much fun...
• Korean pop or K-pop have finally gotten through me. Thanks to a video on YouTube that was so adorable. Try and search wonder girls vs wonder baby and see how cute the 4 year old girl dancing to Wonder Girls - they are a Korean pop girl band whom are touring with Jonas Brothers in USA now. So far I like some of their songs like Irony, So Hot, Tell Me and Nobody (only the Korean version. The full English version sounds weird to me hahaha).
I still don't understand the craziness that is K-pop but the synchronised dance moves are kinda cool and the songs are okay. Just cool to see that's all :)
I guess that's all for now. Hope you guys still writing, blogging, reading and commenting so I will keep on doing the same...until then take care and have fun wherever you are ;)
xoxo

Live Like We're Dying
see relatedlive like we're dying...
salam to all...
Just want to wish everyone a very happy EID MUBARAK, Selamat Hari Raya Aidilfitri and Maaf Zahir & Batin. somehow this Raya isn't as exciting as Ramadhan was for me this year...wonder why hehe...nonetheless got to meet my relatives again...alhamdulillah, everyone is growing up, growing taller, growing mature, some already working, some still studying, some reproduced, etc...hehehe...
of course, still forgot to take pics @ grandma's house. think it was a blur probably coz i was somewhat sleepy
but all is good...got some pics taken @ home my relatives came over to visit us! all on fb already...in other news, i'm loving this song from first listen! thanks to miss littlewhitemushroom! and i have it dl-ed already hehehe...try and read the lyrics, pretty true coz life is meant to be lived and why not live it like you're dying? i.e. making it worthwhile, making up and mending broken relationships, having fun, making it a good life...etc. now the question on my mind is the video concept for this cool song...hopefully it'll be something cool...
that's all for now. i am back @ work tomorrow and hoping all was well in my absence and that all goes well in my presence...i am sure it will
... and i got some cleaning up done with the house pre-Raya and my room post-ramadhan and got rid off some junk and kept some unwantedtosee stuff...oh yea that's it. see ya! *sings - gotta live like we’re dying**
Live Like We’re Dying
Kris AllenSometime we fall down and can’t get back up
We’re hiding behind skin that’s too tough
How come we don’t say I love you enough
Till it’s too late, it’s not too lateOur hearts are hungry for a food that won’t come
We could make a feast from these crumbs
And we’re all staring down the barrel of a gun
So if your life flashed before you, what would you wish you would’ve doneYeah… gotta start
Looking at the hand of the time we’ve been given here
This is all we got and we gotta start thinkin’ it
Every second counts on a clock that’s tickin
Gotta live like we’re dyingWe only got 86 400 seconds in a day
To turn it all around or throw it all away
We gotta tell ‘em that we love ‘em while we got the chance to say,
Gotta live like we’re dying(Continued after the jump)
Well if you plane fell out of the skies
Who would you call with your last goodbyes
Should be so careful who we live out of our lives
So when we long for absolution, there’ll be no one on the lineYeah… we gotta start lookin’ at the hand of the time we’ve been given here
This all we got and we gotta start thinkin it
Every second count on a clock that’s tickin
Gotta live like we’re dyingWe only got 86 400 seconds in a day
to turn it all around or throw it all away
We gotta tell ‘em that we love ‘em while we got the chance to say,
Gotta live like we’re dyingLike we’re dying oh…
Like we’re dying
Like we’re dying oh…
Like we’re dyingWe only got 86 400 seconds in a day
to turn it all around or throw it all away
We gotta tell ‘em that we love ‘em while we got the chance to say,
Gotta live like we’re dyingYou never know a good thing until it’s gone
you never see a crash until its head on
All these people right when we’re dead wrong,
You never know a good thing till it’s goneYeah… we gotta start lookin’ at the hand of the time we’ve been given here
this all we got and we gotta start thinkin it
Every second count on a clock that’s tickin
Gotta live like we’re dyingWe only got 86 400 seconds in a day
to turn it all around or throw it all away
We gotta tell ‘em that we love ‘em while we got the chance to say,
Gotta live like we’re dyingLike we’re dying oh…
Like we’re dying
Like we’re dying oh…
Like we’re dyingWe only got 86 400 seconds in a day
to turn it all around or throw it all away
We gotta tell ‘em that we love ‘em while we got the chance to say,
Gotta live like we’re dying

Haven't Met You Yet
see relatedHaven't Met You Yet
hello everyone...
i know i've been pretty much been away and it has been a month since my last update. apologies for making you guys wait but then again there aren't too many updates like before and i've felt that the merri-ness of xanga or people blogging has dwindled a lot...nonetheless i am still here and hope that you will too!
work updates:
ONE - London trainers came over to KL for our next phase training where we are now taking on more complex, urgent and failing trades. all seems very exciting of course as it is additional knowledge and responsibilities for us and yes, it is a bit more riskier than before...glad everything went well and that we continue to perform well, inshaAllah.
TWO - had my mid-year appraisal. it was alright and my boss said that he got nothing much to say coz there's no complaint from either Manila or London, meaning to say that i have done a great job...so yay for me! let's just hope i will do my best for the remainder of 2009...amin
friends updates:
ONE - Jen has finally left the country and now happily living in Sacramento with her bf, Ivan...we had few outing sessions with her and as a farewell gift, we got her a picture of us all together with some USD and MYR cash hehe...i'm so gonna miss her but already chat with her on Skype so i guess all is well, huh? though i wonder when will i have the chance to go and visit her...
TWO - Patrick will soon leave our office to a greener pasture...by joining another bank with better job prospects. i'm sure gonna miss him coz i've known him since our first trip to london in 2005 and has become one of my good friends...
other updates:
ONE - it is Ramadhan once again and muslims around the world are fasting and increase our ibadah and duaa (doa) and having to experience hunger and to control our oh-so-many human desires...i'm glad that so far i've been well to fast and been having opportunities to eat together with the family (due to my work schedule, i would normally see my family mostly during weekends even if we are living in the same house and during ramadhan i get to see my family and eat together with them before fasting starts, every single day) alhamdulillah...and we are already on our 16th day and inshaAllah with His guidance & strength we all can get his blessings and be reunited with ramdhan next year...amin.
TWO - Malaysia celebrated its 52nd year of independence on 31st August 2009 and eventhough this year's celebration is a bit sombre due to fasting, the spirit of MERDEKA is still alive in our hearts...
THREE - Michael Buble has just released his first ever single, Haven't Met You Yet from his new album, Crazy Love (i love the cover - just look at his eyes!) which will be out in stores on 9th October 2009 (a day before my bday...and that can only signal i'm getting the album as my own bday present, yay! hehe) oh yea the video is below and the lyrics too!
that's all for now...take care and be well *hugs*
Michael Buble - Haven't Met You Yet...
I'm Not Surprised
Not Everything Lasts
Have Broken My Heart So Many Times,
I've Stopped Keeping Track.
Talk Myself In
I Talk Myself Out
I Get All Worked Up
Then I Let Myself Down.
I Tried So Very Hard Not To Lose It
I Came Up With A Million Excuses
I Thought I Thought Of Every Possibility
And I Know Someday That It'll All Turn Out
You'll Make Me Work So We Can Work To Work It Out
And I Promise You Kid That I'll Give So Much More Than I Get
I Just Haven't Met You Yet
Mmmmm ....
I Might Have To Wait
I'll Never Give Up
I Guess It's Half Time
And The Other Half's Luck
Wherever You Are
Whenever It's Right
You Come Out Of Nowhere And Into My Life
And I Know That We Can Be So Amazing
And Baby Your Love Is Gonna Change Me
And Now I Can See Every Possibility
Hmmmmm ......
And Somehow I Know Someday That It'll All Turn Out
You'll Make Me Work So We Can Work To Work It Out
And I Promise You Kid That I'll Give So Much More Than I Get
I Just Haven't Met You Yet
They Say All's Fair
And In Love And War
But I Won't Need To Fight It
We'll Get It Right and
We'll Be United
And I Know That We Can Be So Amazing
And Being In Your Life Is Gonna Change Me
And Now I Can See Every Single Possibility
Hmmm .....
And Someday I Know It'll All Turn Out
And I'll Work To Work It Out
Promise You Kid I'll Give More Than I Get
Than I Get Than I Get han I Get
Oh You Know It Will All Turn Out
And You'll Make Me Work So We Can Work To Work It Out
And I Promise You Kid To Give So Much More Than I Get
Yeah I Just Haven't Met You Yet
I Just Haven't Met You Yet
Oh Promise You Kid
To Give So Much More Than I Get
I Said Love Love Love Love Love Love Love .....
I Just Haven't Met You Yet
Love Love Love .....
I Just Haven't Met You Yet

hey everyone, wishing you all a very happy Friday wherever you may be...
back to the real world, life has been back to normal...well somewhat normal with additional tasks of checking up, monitoring and assisting Manila from KL...and finally i finished with my team's mid-year appraisals and catching up individually with my 11 staff - past and present...heheh...glad that's done and waiting for my own from my boss...*sigh* i sure hope i get good remarks and rating so i will be motivated and excited to come to work as i always am...hehe...
and fyi, this week we started having training on our new tasks from our 2 process specialists from London...yup you heard right! we trained people in Manila on some of our work and then get additional work from UK...yippee! hahaha...seriously i am feeling drained up to a point of falling sick and i had to take half day on Wednesday and have f ull rest at home...and that did wonders coz i am feeling much better, after eating rice porridge, vitamin C, water, medicines and several hours of sleep of course!
more news about work once i get few things confirmed...watch this space

enough about work, let's talk about music...i've been listening to few local artistes namely Estrella, Yuna and the latest in my favourite list is Zee Avi. see and see their music videos below of my fave songs by them...and let me know what you think...
Estrella - Stay
Yuna - Dan Sebenarnya (and the truth is...)
Zee Avi - Kantoi (slang word in malay means exposed or busted for doing something wrong!) and Poppy

MABUHAY!
i am now back on home ground and blogging from my room yet again! alhamdulillah flight back was good as I got few hours of sleep, good in-flight food and read few chapters of my current reading material...
even when the guy who was sitting behind me kept on pushing my chair in attempt to get comfortable coz he is soooooo tall...poor guy. even when i had to pay for my few kilos of excess luggage which was so worth it, especially when i managed to make lots of people HAPPY and see their HAPPY faces with their souvenirs i got for them...
now that i am back in the real world, i realised i'm already back doing laundry, cooking, cleaning and there are still more to do...and mind you, the accumulated dust in my room is 2 month's worth and i must say, i do need to clean up soon...let's just wish my 'cleaning mode' will come back! i guess being somewhat pampered living at the Discovery Suites does that to you...hmmm...
and all that can't compare to the joy of being home, home and home! hanging out at home watching movies with my sisters, having dinner as a family, sleeping on my oh-so-comfy-IKEA bed, using my PC, driving my car and on the right side of the road...and eating nasi campur with beef rendang and durian on the night i got home! yummmmmmmmmm-my!
aside from that, i am already missing the guys back in Manila...just coz they made me feel at home with their friendliness and remind of my team in KL...such crazy lovely bunch we have across London, KL and Manila sites...isn't life grand? sure is...
have a great week! xoxo Aishah
p/s: lots of things on my plate, i'm hoping everything goes well and i get to finish them soon...
